One Bread, One Body

Registration for Religious Education 2026-2027 will open on March 31. To prepare, please read through the following for registration instructions:
The Registration link is only for New Families!
Once you complete the online form using the link at the left of this page, the Religious Education office will be notified and will review your application. Once we check the information provided, you will receive an automated email from Parish Giving with login credentials for an account that was created for you. To complete registration, sign into your account to verify student information, make a payment, and select a session for your child/ren.
If you are a returning family, please do NOT use the new family registration link. Instead, you should receive an email from Parish Giving on the morning of March 30. This email will contain login credentials for a Parish Giving account that was created for you. There is no need for you to create a Parish Giving account. If you do not receive this automated email on opening day, check your spam folder and if it's not there, then contact Barb Kane at 609-267-6319.
Please be aware that a late fee of $25 will be assessed if you do not register by May 15, 2026.
General Information for 2026-2027
All families registering children in our program must be parishioners of Sacred Heart.
All new registrations must be accompanied by a copy of the baptismal certificate, and any additional sacramental records/prior Religious Education records if applicable (i.e., if the student is new to our program and beyond 1st grade).
Classes meet in person on Tuesdays each week from 5:30-6:45pm. Classes will begin the last week of September and will continue EVERY Tuesday through the first week of May.
Our intensive summer session will run from July 20 through July 31, 2026 AND once a month on a Monday during the school year (tentatively Monday November 9, Monday January 4, February 1, March 1, and April 12). Classes will be held in person and meet from 8-11 am in July (Mondays in November-April meet 5:30 - 6:30 pm), and families must adhere and commit to our strict attendance policy. **Please note that at this time, most grade levels are at capacity. We are seeking additional volunteers to become catechists, aides, and hall monitors, so please contact our office if you are interested in joining our team.
On a very limited basis, we offer a Family Session, which is open to students in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade only. It's offered as an option for families with extenuating circumstances or have successfully completed the Family session the year prior, and families must be pre-approved for this option. Participants in this session are required to attend 5 in person family meetings, several family projects, and all chapter work must be submitted in a timely manner. Please contact Barbara Kane to be pre-approved.
Our program uses the textbook series 'Alive in Christ,' published by Our Sunday Visitor. We also use the RCL Benziger 'Family Life' program as mandated by Bishop O'Connell.
For adults and teenagers who wish to become Catholic or continue their Religious Education to culminate in receiving Sacraments, we offer an OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) program. Please click the OCIA link on this page for more information!
For specific information about each program and about our sacramental celebrations, please see the links on the left side of the screen.
If you have any questions, please contact our office. Thank you and may God bless you on your journey of faith with your child!
Mrs. Barbara Kane
